The RMTP4800 Rack Mount Chassis Transmission Platform is a high-capacity, streamlined OTN hardware solution designed for provincial backbone networks, metropolitan core layers, and other large-scale transport environments. Supporting node capacities of 3.2T and beyond, it provides a cost-effective foundation for large-granularity DWDM transmission, making it well suited for IDC and ISP operators. The RMTP4800 series supports 200G and 400G wavelength division transmission, delivering high capacity in a compact form factor with low power consumption. It integrates seamlessly with the NMS600 network management system and supports WebGUI, CLI, and SNMP interfaces, enabling simplified, automated operation while improving data security and overall network efficiency. This makes it an effective solution for DCI, metro, regional, and long-haul optical networks. The platform is available in chassis sizes ranging from 1U to 8U and supports a broad range of plug-in modules, including transponders, muxponders, EDFAs, DWDM MUX/DEMUX units, OTDR, OPM, and optical line protection switches (OLP), along with power supply and fan modules. Designed for high reliability and scalability, it features dual main control cards and dual power supplies with automatic failover to ensure uninterrupted operation in demanding environments. Each 1U chassis provides four slots within a standard 19-inch rack width and supports optical-electrical integration with a maximum power capacity of 1000 W. It includes 1+1 redundant DC power supplies and supports main control redundancy. The system can deliver up to 3.2 Tbps of transmission capacity within just 2U of rack space.
